Big changes are underway for New York City construction. The Department of Buildings continues to issue periodic details for its new Site Safety Training(SST) program, which expands the training requirements of construction / demo workers and supervisors. The first phase of the program began back in March and required all workers to have a 10 Hour OSHA card. By the next deadline of December 1st, 2018, workers must have at least 30 hours of safety training, while supervisors and competent persons must complete 62 hours of training.
